What is cue’ing?

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

“Cueing” is when DJs preview the next song with their headphones to prepare for the upcoming mix. This is useful because many songs may start with an introduction or silence that the DJ does not want you to hear. Some DJ’s mark their vinyl records with tape as a hint to speed up the cueing process. Cimio automatically cues your songs to the first beat detected for accurate beatmatching.

Hi Everyone,

Please note that we have tested Cimio on Windows 7, and it seems to be working just fine. We won’t be officially supporting this OS until next year, but feel free to test out the trial version on your Windows 7 machine. We’ll also have information coming next week on Mac’s new Snow Leopard system.

Thanks,

FFD Show Application

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

Please note that Cimio automatically installs an application called FFD Show onto your machine. This application maximizes Cimio’s performance and allows it to work with certain file formats. If you are asked to select FFD Show as your audio player while using Cimio, we recommend that you select “yes.” Thank you.

Hello Everyone,

We have just been informed that Cimio is having some trouble importing files whose names contain strange and/or non-English characters. We are working on this problem and will address it in the next product update. Thanks for your patience.
